Set in two minimalist buildings that surround an open courtyard in the heart of Prague's Old Town, Hotel Josef has design in its DNA and iconic pieces can be found throughout, like Hay's Bouroullec and Moustache chairs, and &Tradition's Verner Panton lights. The hotel's 109 rooms are ideal for business travellers but given its central location and simplicity, I loved it for a contemporary and cool city stay.

Opened in 2002, Hotel Josef was designed by renowned Czech architect Eva Jiricná. The hotel features a minimalist aesthetic with extensive use of glass and steel, creating bright, airy spaces. A standout architectural element is the striking glass-and-steel staircase in the lobby. And a standout amenity is the breakfast menu. Choose the Eggs Benedict.
